MGI Mobility Services collaborated with the city of Plovdiv to implement an advanced Automatic Plate Detection system from moving vehicles. Leveraging cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technologies, our team designed a solution to accurately capture and recognize license plates from moving cars, enhancing traffic monitoring and law enforcement capabilities.
Technology Stack: Computer vision, machine learning, Sentiveillance SDK, Deep Learning, NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, special cameras
- Role of Ivan Dimitrov: As the CEO of MGI Mobility Services, Ivan Dimitrov led this project, applying his expertise in computer vision and machine learning to develop a cost-effective and highly efficient solution.
- Impact: The project in Plovdiv aimed to equip the municipality’s blue zone parking vehicles with cutting-edge hardware and software for license plate detection. The system automatically identifies whether a detected license plate corresponds to a paid or unpaid parking permit. This implementation has resulted in significantly more efficient operations, reduced manual monitoring, and increased revenue generation for the city of Plovdiv.
